Cricket: Women's T20 squad announced for international fixtures

14 players named for trips to Austria and Women's Continental Cup

Isle of Man Cricket has confirmed the Isle of Man women's T20 team to compete in two international events from this weekend and into next week.

The Manx side will travel to face Austria in a bilateral series from 31 July-1 August with twelve players selected for that event.

They'll then travel to Bucharest to take part in the Women's Continental Cup from 4-6 August where they'll take on Romania, Malta and Greece.

Two additional players will link up with the team for the Continental Cup to create a total squad of fourteen.

The Isle of Man women's squad are set to receive an international ranking once they complete both tournaments.

What's more, three of the players - Caitlin Henery, Emma Miller and Bliss Murtagh - will part of the team for the first time.

Team captain, Alanya Thorpe, and teammate, Lucy Barnett, spoke to Manx Radio about how they're feeling ahead of this latest challenge
