FC Isle of Man hoping to kick on against Irlam

Manager hopes last week's equaliser can inspire team

FC Isle of Man will look to continue gathering points as they take on Irlam FC at home in the North West Counties Football League.

The Ravens point last weekend meant they moved up to 13th place, on 37 points, five places above their visitors who have six games in hand.

There was a sense of relief last time out as Dean Pinnington headed in a last-minute equaliser against Kendal Town FC.

Manager Paul Jones hopes the way his side fought back at The Bowl can be used as inspiration for tomorrow's match:

In this fixture in the 22/23 season, Ciaran McNulty scored the Ravens' only goal in a 3-1 loss to Irlam.

The Salford based side, like FC Isle of Man, are struggling for form themselves as they are winless in their last four games away from home.

Due to Dan Simpson sustaining a fractured leg in the last match Tom Creer has come into the side to replace the winger who will be side-lined for the foreseeable future.

Jack McVey also comes into the team, replacing Ryan Burns who is unavailable.

Squad:

Ben Wilkinson (GK), Jacob Crook, Tom Creer, Sean Doyle, Tiernan Garvey, Danny Gerrard, Charlie Higgins, Frank Jones (C), Phil Kelly, Ronan McDonnell, Jack McVey, Dean Pinnington, Eoghain Sherrard, Callum  Sherry, Kyle Watson, Michael Williams.

FC Isle of Man vs Irlam FC takes place this Saturday, 27 January, kicking-off at 6pm - Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our DAB and AM1368 channels.
