Men's and women's teams put in good displays against LJMU and Liverpool University
The Isle of Man's handball teams made their return to competitive action off-Island taking on university sides in Liverpool this weekend.
Both men's and women's players were put forward by the Island to take part in a series of games on Saturday (29 April) in the Liverpool Students Open.
The men's side put in some battling displays, only losing narrowly to Liverpool University 6-7 before pushing a Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) side all the way in an 8-4 loss.
Meanwhile, the women's players - combined with LJMU - played out a 5-7 defeat to Liverpool University but then went on to win against the same side 6-5.
