Hickman on pole for Macau Grand Prix

Todd and Kostamo will complete front row for Saturday's race

Peter Hickman put in an imperious final qualifying lap to secure pole position for this weekend's Macau Grand Prix.

The FHO Racing rider and 13-time TT winner clocked a time of two minutes 24.8 seconds to sit at the front for Saturday's twelve-lap event.

It's also FHO Racing's first ever pole position at the event - Faye Ho's team is making its debut at the race this year.

Elsewhere, Davey Todd - a guest rider for the Burrows Engineering/RK Racing team in 2023 - qualified second behind Hickman with Todd having recovered from clutch issues on his machine earlier in the session.

Erno Kostamo completed the top three for ZERO UP Racing Team by Penz 13.

The second row will see German competitor David Datzer start off in fourth whilst Michael Rutter - nine-time Macau GP winner - will begin in fifth spot - rounding out the second row will be another TT competitor in Phil Crowe who posted the sixth fastest time.
