Speech from ladies winner at presentation

Finishers were applauded at the Villa Marina last night at the Parish Walk presentation.

Marie Lambden picked up a special award in recognition of the unstinting work put in by her late husband Murray.

And Special Olympian Lawrence Dyer was the recipient of the Manx Telecom Merit prize for finishing for the first time after two previous retirements at Maughold.

Women's record-breaker Karen Chiarello broke with tradition and made a speech praising what she termed the great "Manx spirit":-
