Manx teen retained by Manchester United

Lisy offered another season

A teenage Manx footballer has been offered another season with Manchester United, after impressing in her first one.

Tia Lisy is a member of the under-16 squad of United's Regional Talent Club.

The Isle of Man FA has issued an update on her progress.

Her successful first season at the club included being in the starting lineup for every competitive match, captaining the team on three occasions and finishing as its top scorer from attacking midfield.

She helped the team to second place in the league, finishing behind Liverpool.

Throughout the season Tia has had to balance studying for her GCSEs at St Ninian's High School with travelling off-Island twice a week to train and play for Manchester United.

Tia is actively looking for sponsorship to continue her dream of playing for England.

Anyone who can help is asked to call Amy Beggs-Cairney at the Isle of Man FA on 615576.
