Manager hoping Ravens can continue recent good form

Nearly two weeks since their last outing, FC Isle of Man return to action this evening (9 November) when they travel to Lower Breck in the NWCFL Premier Division.

The Ravens have enjoyed a recent boost in form which has seen them take four wins from their last six, including a victory over promotion-chasing Wythenshawe last time out on 28 October.

A win for the Manx side on Merseyside later could take them to within three points of the promotion play-off spots.

FC Isle of Man Manager, Paul Jones is calling for the same assertive performance his side showed when they won this particular fixture last season:

There were spoils for both FC Isle of Man and Lower Breck in both league and cup encounters during the previous campaign.

The first game of the 2022/23 campaign saw these two meet at The Bowl on 30 July, 2022 with Lower Breck grinding out a 1-0 victory despite finishing the game with nine men.

FC Isle of Man were then the victors when the two sides collided once more on 24 September, 2022 this time in the FA Vase with the Island outfit registering a 3-1 win at The Bowl.

In the most recent meeting between the two on 1 April this year, the Ravens registered a much-needed 2-0 victory on Lower Breck turf in a double-header weekend which would see FC Isle of Man mathematically secure their place in the division for another season.

The travelling Manx squad currently sit tenth in the table on 29 points - seven points clear of Lower Breck who reside in 19th spot.

The Liverpool-based side will be hoping for a result to turn around a recent run of challenging form in which they've recorded one win in their last eleven matches in all competitions.

Lower Breck vs FC Isle of Man will kick-off tonight at Anfield Sports Community Centre at 8pm.
