Town, Foxdale and Marown all win

Alex Crawley hits four

The title race in JCK Division Two remains closely contested.

This after wins on Saturday for Marown, Foxdale and leaders Castletown.

Marown won the match of the day with a 2-1 success at Ramsey Youth Centre to badly damage the northerners’ promotion hopes.

Ashley Heginbotham and Cameron Avery grabbed the all-important goals as the Crosby side moved into fourth place.

Foxdale turned on the style to win 4-1 at Onchan and give their own promotion bid a big lift.

Andrew Berry opened the scoring for Foxdale and they never looked back once Matty Moffatt quickly doubled the advantage.

Joe Rees pulled one back for Onchan only for Kenny Walker to restore Foxdale’s two goal advantage before the interval and Jay Chatwood rounded off their victory with the fourth 21 minutes from time.

Rob Slinger was dismissed for Onchan who finished the match with nine men as a player had to go off injured when all their substitutes had been used.

A hat-trick from Alex Crawley put Castletown in the ascendancy at Michael on their way to a 10-0 romp.

Crawley grabbed his fourth and Joel Callow (two), Richard Foden, Connar Garrett (two) and Noah Sansbury completed the scoring line-up.

Malew beat Gymns in a seven goal thriller at Tromode.

Dan McLaughlin gave Malew an early lead. Gymns then replied but the southerners took charge before the break courtesy of a Dale Walker free-kick and an Ash Egan header.

Gymns hit back twice in quick succession at the start of the second half to haul themselves level - Adam Johnson (two) and Callum Peat their marksmen - but Malew had the final word to emerge 4-3 victors, thanks to a Darren Flanagan winner.

Douglas & District were 3-1 home winners over Governor’s Athletic.

The prolific Daniel Stewart-Clague (two) and Owen Stewart were on target after Governor’s had led at the break.
