Cannan: don't let UK affairs distract us

Government musn't let turbulent events further afield distract it from delivering its main policy objectives - that's according to the Treasury Minister Alfred Cannon.

He says political turmoil in the UK can't be ignored, but domestic issues need to take centre stage.

Last Thursday's election result has cast doubt over what kind of Brexit the UK will pursue, which has clear implications for the Isle of Man.

Mr Cannan told Manx Radio the Island's direction should be clear.
