Parent compiles own comparisons


A local researcher claims data comparisons between the Manx education system and UK counterparts already exists, but there's a reluctance to publish them.

Earlier this week, Garff MHK Daphne Caine said she believed the Isle of Man should make public 'league tables' comparing local schools with others in Britain.

One concerned parent, David Watts of Castletown, took the matter into his own hands.He was able to access relevant information through government Freedom of Information requests.But he says he doesn't understand why that had to be the case:
