Exploring Island Heritage - Tuesday, 9th October 2018

As we continue to explore aspects of the Island’s heritage, this week we’re finding out about some the process of collecting and storing documents and publications relating to the aspects of the Island’s history.

We’ll find out more about Manx Museum Library and Archives from MNH Archivist Wendy Thirkettle, and how some of the material help can be accessed online via the iMuseum from Collections Information Manager Jude Dicken.

And we also visit the Public Record Office to speak to Public Records Officer and Angela Skitt and Records and Archives Officer Eleanor Williams about the documents they hold.

There are a number of opportunities to find out about the Island’s heritage during the first two weekends of October as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days – find out more on the Manx National Heritage website.
