Our very own Michelle Jamieson has an exciting opportunity for young people aged 3-10 this summer. Michelle has just completed her first year of studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and with prestigious titles such as Young Singer of Mann and Younger Actor of Mann under her belt, she is running a four-day drama course between August 15th-18th. The workshops are open to anyone aged 3-15yrs and welcome any young people, no matter their level of experience or confidence. More information about the course can be found on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/iomtheatreworkshops/ and by contacting Michelle directly at iomtheatreworkshops@gmail.com

Jane Hall brings us this week’s Visual Arts news – find out more at www.manxartdirectory.com

And if you’re looking for something nice to do tonight, head to the sailor’s shelter in Peel at 7.30 for a foot tapping fundraiser for Peel Traditional Boat Weekend, hosted by The Salty Dogs and their guests the Gangplankers. The event isn’t ticketed but organisers suggest a donation of five pounds and to make the night even more fun, you can bring your own drinks and there’s a two for one chippy deal!

Cafe manager by day and singer by night, Charlotte Greenbank shares her love of music therapy, and the important role it plays in our daily lives.

Last month saw the great success of the 43rd Mananan International Music Festival and our final guests today travelled all the way from Calcutta to perform.

The track we played today was Daadra and if you’d like to hear more of Dev, Sam and Madhu drop us a line at Spotlight@manxradio.com and we’ll put you in touch.

Do join us again next Wednesday at 5.30pm and in the meantime keep in touch through the Manx Radio Facebook page and atSpotlight@manxradio.com
