On Air Good Friday Breakfast Chris Williams | 6:00am - 10:00am

Ciao bella, ciao yessir!

This week we’re joined by illustrator Alice Quayle who has found a way to help us celebrate and enjoy some of the Island’s best spots, Breesha Maddrell give us a tour of Culture Vannin’s home in St Johns, and Georgia Zapparolli shares her poem about Ramsey.

If there’s something creative you’d like to share with us, email us at Spotlight@manxradio.com to tell us all about it!

We begin today’s programme with illustrator Alice Quayle, whose work you will definitely have seen around the Island, even if you didn’t know it! Alice works to commission, developing interesting and user-friendly maps for locations of interest around the Island. See more of her work on her Facebook page, and make a purchase on the Tynwald shop site!

We’re off to St Johns now, where Breesha Maddrell, Director of Culture Vannin, shows us around the foundation’s home and welcomes us to enjoy the space. With permanent installations, activities for children and space to learn about Manx language and culture, its a lovely spot to pop by!

Poetry Performer, Georgia Zapparolli joins us as our last guest today. She’s here to share a tribute to the town she calls home - Aunty Shanty.

Do join us again next Wednesday at five thirty for Spotlight - if you have any comments about today’s show, drop us a line at Spotlight@manxradio.com
