#MRWomenToday listen again: Conquering Kilimanjaro, kindles, socks and hot milk....

On Women Today this afternoon, we caught up with  Neil Morgan who first came on the show earlier this year before he trekked up Kilimanjaro to raise money for Arthritis Care Ellan Vannin.  Neil returned to tell us about his trip, the highs and lows, and how he's raised more than £2300 so far which is an incredible achievement.

We were also joined by Helen Cowley from the charity to talk about the support available over here for anyone of any age who has arthritis.  They have number of events coming up including a Southern Coffee and Chat at The Hub in Port Erin this Wednesday from 2pm and a Christmas Lunch get together at Ballacregga Corn Mill in Laxey on Wednesday December 13th.  For more information call Linda on 43189

Helen is also Beth's neighbour, and came up with two topics for today's show - once about the routine of putting on your socks and the other about hot milk on cereal....

And as we discussed the Kindle turning 10 we asked whether or not you've ditched the old fashioned real book and we heard from a Manx author who has written about a true local love story.  'Face the Music' is about a relationship surrounded by bitter resentment at the start of the 20th century.  Maria Darnoult says while it's not 50 Shades  it's not Barbara Cartland either.....find out more here.

If you missed any of today's show you can listen again for the next seven days.
