On Air The Morning Show Chris Williams | 9:30am - Noon

#MRWomenToday listen again: Jennifer James and Quinn Shipton

On the programme today, Christy and Kirree were joined in the studio by two members of the Keird Collective, Jennifer James from Reap What You Sew and illustrator Quinn Shipton. They talked about their fabulously creative lives and shared some insights into what it's like working in the arts on the Island. You can see them and their work - along with other members of the Collective - at the Spring Gathering in Castletown's Old Fire Station on Sunday - details on their Facebook page here

Also today - Christy spoke to Julie Owen, head of English at Ramsey Grammar School, to find out about their 16 hour ReadAThon happening on Friday to celebrate World Book Day; they are raising money for books for the children's wards at the hospital - if you would like to support them, you can email Julie to find out how: Julie.Owen@sch.im

- Kirree shared a news story about an MP in the UK calling for there to be a GCSE in agriculture, and we asked if you thought it would be a good idea over here; the resounding response from listeners was very positive and we learned that Ramsey Grammar School actually has a fabulous farming education option on their curriculum, which is changing students lives for the better;

- and we looked at news that the music industry is championing a "50/50 by 2022" campaign for gender equality in festival headliners, we heard from some performers who have mixed views on the issue, some thinking it was positive progress but others suggesting it is forcing the issue
