#MRWomenToday listen again: taking on tantrums and keeping kids entertained for summer

On the programme today:

- we spoke to TV psychologist Dr Sam Wass from "Secret Life of 4 year olds" to get tips on how to take your tiny terrors to the shops, confident that you can deal with their tantrums; and we asked you how you deal with your toddlers' outbursts - and you had some great advice!

- also on the subject of 'keeping the kids at bay', we were joined in the studio by Youth Officers Giles Crellin and Val Goldie who work for the Department of Education and Children to find out why there really is lots to do for kids on the Isle of Man; you can find out more about the various activities we discussed and find out how to sign up to the various Youth Clubs around the Island here: http://iomyouth.im

- we spoke to Stephanie Kelsey about a charity event aimed at anyone who goes out in Douglas and feels ancient; the 70s, 80s and 90s disco, called 'Booked!', is raising funds for the Family Library and is happening Friday July 14th at Amber Bar in Douglas. Music is from the brilliant Gyp Buggane; tickets cost £10 and are on sale at Noa Bakehouse, Bridge Bookshops Port Erin and Ramsey or from the Family Library itself. Stephanie can be contacted on 430665. NB: Tickets will not be available on the door on the night.

If you'd prefer to support the Family Library without attending the event, click here to find out how you can donate.

You can listen again to the show for the next 7 days at this link.

Tomorrow, Beth will be finding out about a company which supports people who’ve just moved over to the Island, while Christy abandons her co-host to sit in on the Breakfast Show for Chris Williams.
