#MRWomenToday listen again:

On the programme today: -

- hazel2we were joined in the studio by Hazel Teare, the woman behind open mic poetry nights - fast approaching their 5th anniversary - a founder member of Poetry Unlimited, member of the Manx Bard Committee – the list goes on – but she is also a performance poet herself and started the show today with one of her latest creations...

- also, if you were listening to the show last week, you may have heard us speaking with Anne Hodgson, who is the Community Fundraiser for the Walton Centre Charity. Anne was on the Island especially to support a number of people who were raising funds for the centre by taking part in the Parish Walk. She was invited by the family of one young woman, Katie Holmes, who has spent almost a year as an inpatient at Walton, following a serious car accident. Christy spoke to 21 year old Katie and her mum, Yvonne, to find out a little more about their story and how the Centre has helped them. Check out the pictures below, and you can donate to the Centre on their JustGiving Page here

- Howard went wild with butterflies for Day 20 of #30DaysWild with the Manx Wildlife Trust and -

- as were joined by a prize winning poet, we asked you 'what's the point of poetry'?

If you missed the show, you can listen again for the next 7 days at this link.

Tomorrow, we'll be celebrating ten years of the Isle of Man Farmers Markets with Sheila Gawne, and speaking with the Manx Bard himself, John Dog Callister. Tune in from 2pm!
