On #MRWomenToday listen again: The CEO of Age Concern Isle of Man, IOM Rocks and beards.....
On today’s show Beth and Tanya were joined live by the Chief Executive of Age Concern Isle of Man Helen Southworth. She discussed the recent decision by the Department of Health and Social Care to cut the funding for the Meals on Wheels service. It was raised in the House of Keys this morning and we heard DHSC Minister Kate Beecroft respond to questions.
Helen also talked about a number of initiatives that Age Concern IOM is involved with - including the Voice of Experience. They want to hear from anyone over the age of 50 who can help build a more positive attitude to age and ageing. Add your voice and make a difference by calling 631740 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Also today we found out all about the latest craze sweeping the Isle of Man. Adults and children alike have been decorating rocks and hiding them in safe, legal places in the great outdoors. Island rocks have travelled as far away as Australia and with Christmas approaching, some festive themed rocks are likely to be found. Find out more by contacting the team at IOM rocks.
