Climate Change Contingency

Climate Change Contingency:

The Climate Change Fund was established in 2022/23 and had £25m put in it.

A further £11 million was added in 2023/24.

No more money's been allocated this year, as there's currently £25.7 million still in the pot.

The funding is unallocated for the forthcoming year, ready to assist departments in meeting the government's net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

However, £10 million has been assigned to 'climate change mitigation and adaptation projects.
