CWG: 5th place for Holden in Women's Cycling Time Trial

Storrie places 6th & Carridge 24th

Strong performances have been put out by the Isle of Man's female cyclists this morning in the Commonwealth Games.

Lizzie Holden, Becky Storrie, and Jess Carridge all took on a gruelling 29km course in the Women's Time Trial.

It was a straight final, no heats for this event, with 36 cyclists set to compete, however 5 didn't start.

Lizzie Holden came in first out of Manxies and 5th overall:

Becky Storrie finished hot on Holden's heels in 6th:

Jess came in 24th and says she's incredibly grateful to be competing in the Games:

The trio will have a few rest days then will be back in action on Sunday (7 Aug) in the Women's Road Race alongside fellow Manxies Anna Christian and Amelia Sharpe.
