Mullarkey finishes 1500m 17th in field of 24
David Mullarkey has opened the track campaign for Manx athletes at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
He finished eighth in his heat and 17th in the field of 24 athletes from around the Commonwealth.
Mullarkey ran a time of 3:50.06, nine seconds off his personal best.
He now turns his focus to the Men's 5,000m which is on Saturday evening.
