CWG: Kiera Prentice sets new personal best in Birmingham

17-year-old is taking part in her first ever Commonwealth Games

Team IoM swimmer, Kiera Prentice, has set a new personal best time in the Women's 200m Freestyle heats of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The 17-year-old - who was the youngest competitor in her heat - posted a time of 2 minutes 14.61 seconds in her first ever appearance at the games.

Her previous best was 2 minutes 15.23 seconds which was her entry time to qualify for the games.

Despite securing a PB, she didn't progress to the next stage.

She's previously stated her hopes whilst in Birmingham are to try and set new personal records and enjoy the experience.
