CWG: Mixed Relay Team set new Manx record

Previous record had stood since 2017

The Isle of Man's aquatics Mixed Relay Team have set a new Manx record in the class on the first day of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Competing in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay, Alex Bregazzi, Emma Hodgson, Kiera Prentice and Harry Robinson clocked a time of 3 minutes 48.45 seconds.

It eclipsed the previous time set of 3 minutes 49.56 seconds which had stood since 2017.

It came as the Isle of Man finished fifth overall in their heat amid a world-class field including swimming heavyweights Australia, South Africa and Canada.

However, they won't progress to the next round.
