More than half of hospital patients doubled jabbed

Nine of 15 have had two doses

More than half of the patients receiving treatment for coronavirus in Noble's Hospital have received two vaccines.

The details have been published in a new weekly coronavirus report from Public Health Isle of Man.

The newly-launched report shows there were 15 people in hospital up to 17 August, with nine having had two Covid jabs.

Eight of those were displaying Covid symptoms, while one was asymptomatic.

Five patients who haven't been vaccinated were symptomatic, while one unvaccinated patient didn't have symptoms.

The statistics also includes data from the Civil Registry, showing six of 15 total deaths on the Isle of Man in the first nine days of August may be linked to coronavirus.

Three are Covid-related, while a further three have an unconfirmed link to the virus.

Meanwhile, the number of people being tested at the grandstand has fallen over the last four weeks

65% of people to test positive through a PCR swab over the last week presented themselves for testing after initially having a positive lateral flow test.

However, just 11% of those going for testing did so because of lateral flows, with UK arrivals still making up almost half of those needing a PCR test.

Updates will be published on the government's coronavirus website weekly.
