Chris Thomas will contest Douglas Central
One of the Island's current politicians has confirmed he'll be seeking re-election this September.
Chris Thomas will contest the seat he holds in Douglas Central.
He was first elected in a by-election in 2013, having stood unsuccessfully in 2011.
In 2016 he topped the poll in his consitituency.
Mr Thomas has a number of parliamentary roles, including Vice-Chair of Isle of Man Post Office.
He had been Policy and Reform Minister, but was dismissed in May last year because his actions were deemed to be 'at odds with collective responsibility'.
Mr Thomas says his election priorities include more useful economic growth for people, Island demography, pension reform and housing.
This year's General Election will take place on Thursday 23rd September.
