Former MHK and MLC to stand in Ramsey

Leonard Singer is the third candidate to come forward for the area

A former MHK and MLC has declared his intention to stand in next month's House of Keys General Election.

Leonard Singer is standing as an independent candidate for Ramsey, having previously served the area between 1996 and 2003, as well as from 2011 to 2016.

Mr Singer says he's standing again due to the re-emergence of the Ramsey Marina proposal, which he strongly apposes, as well as to ensure there is a vote in the constituency.

This year's Isle of Man General Election will take place on Thursday 23 September.

The other candidates to have declared for Ramsey are Dr Alex Allinson and Lawrie Hooper.
