Treasury worker Gerard Higgins to stand in September
A fourth candidate has announced their intention to stand for Douglas South in next month's General Election.
Gerard Higgins has spent 39 years working in the Treasury which he says means he has the skills to make government efficient and effective.
He wants to see a new, dynamic and progressive style of politics with an emphasis on fairness and transparency.
The General Election will take place on Thursday 23 September.
Also standing in Douglas South are Claire Christian, Manx Labour Party's Sarah Maltby and Paul Quine.
