Inquest into Castletown woman's death adjourned

Hearing opens at Douglas courthouse

An inquest into the death of a woman from Castletown has been adjourned while investigations continue.

The body of 83-year-old Edna Mary Rolfe was found in the sea between the Calf of Man and the Sound on 10 June.

The court heard the cause of death was drowning.

Ms Rolfe was reported missing on the same day by her son.

Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes said a full hearing would take place in due course, and offered her condolences to Ms Rolfe's family.
