Police officer accused of dangerous driving to stand trial

Forty-three-year-old denies offence

A police officer from Port Erin who is accused of dangerous driving will stand trial.

Forty-three-year-old Paul John Robinson appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.

He'd previously denied the offence which prosecutors say was committed in a police van, on 27 November, at St Ninian's Crossroads during an emergency call-out.

He was bailed and committed to appear in the Court of General Gaol Delivery on a date to be fixed.
