Road closures for Championships

A number of road closures will be in place for this weekend's British Cycling National Road Race Championships.

Saturday's Mass Participation Sportive event will see the Mountain Road closed between Barrule Park, Ramsey and the Creg Ny Baa, from 10.45-16.00.

Then on Sunday, it's the Men's and Women's Championship events.

Closures will be in place as follows:

07.00-21.00 Glencrutchery Road, Dukes Avenue to Mountain View;

09.30-19.30 A18 Mountain Road, Barrule Park to Cronk ny Mona.

TT Course

08.30-12.30 then 13.15-19.30 Mountain View to St Ninian's;

08.30-10.00 then 13.15-16.00 St Ninian's to Ballacraine;

09.00-10.30 then 13.30-16.30 Ballacraine to Douglas Road, Kirk Michael;

09.15-10.45 then 13.45-17.00 Douglas Road Corner to Barrule Park, Ramsey;

10.00-12.30 then 14.45-19.30 Cronk Ny Mona to Dukes Avenue.

Finishing Circuit

10.00-12.30 then 16.00-19.30 Circuit departing St Ninians crossroads, along Scollag Road, onto Johnny Wattersons Lane and Cronk Ny Mona.

Access

A number of corridors will be open for the duration of the closures.

They are as follows:

TT Access Road is open;

Access maintained at A9 Bowring Road to Parliament Street, Ramsey;

Ballacraine to the Hope via Peel and Foxdale;

Governors Road to Victoria Road, Douglas;

Bray Hill and Ballaquayle Road for Finishing Circuit;

Ballaoats Road to Ballamenagh Road, Finishing Circuit.

Crossings

To be opened at the discretion of Race Control during stages:

A2 between Ballaquayle Road and Ballanard Road (St Ninians crossroads);

A2 between Malvern Road and High View Road;

A2 Stoney Road and Tromode Road (bottom of Bray Hill);

A1 Douglas to Braddan, between Quarterbridge and Strang Road;

A1 Crosby, between Old Church Road, Eyreton Road and Ballavitchel Road;

A3 between Ballabooie Road and Little London, Cronk y Voddy;

A3 Barregarrow Crossroads, Michael;

A3 Kirk Michael, between Douglas Road Corner and Station and Glen Road at Ballaugh Bridge;

A3 Lezayre, Sulby Glen Crossroads;

A3 between Sulby Bridge and Claddaghs Road;

A3 between Glen Auldyn and Gardeners Lane;

A3 Ramsey, between Fairfield Avenue and Bircham Avenue;

A18 Ramsey between Christian Street and Westbourne Road;

A18 Ramsey between Lheaney Road and Barrule Park;

A18 Onchan to Douglas, between Signpost Corner and Bedstead Corner;

A2 Onchan to Douglas, between Governors Road, Victoria Road, and Second Avenue on Glencrutchery Road.
