He is still confident at this stage of completing his challenge to swim right the way around the coast with another four swims. Mike is raising funds for the Manx Wildlife Trust and Blue Marine Foundation.&nbsp;You can sponsor Mike in his fundraising efforts by&nbsp;visiting&nbsp;<strong>www.justgiving.com\/teams\/IsleofManSwim<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Also today, we celebrated <strong>John Peel with the Jukebox<\/strong>. The legendary broadcaster and TV presenter was born On This Day in 1939, so we gave you&nbsp;the choice of two of Peel&#39;s legacy artists - Pulp &#39;Do You Remember the First Time&#39; and, of course, <strong>Undertones with Teenage Kicks<\/strong>, which Peel described as &#39;the perfect song&#39;. Perhaps unsurprisingly the latter won!<\/p>\n\n<p>And Howard shared his experience of attending yesterday&#39;s launch of the <strong>Our Island Our World<\/strong> competition, which kicked off in fine style with a&nbsp;tribal drumming workshop on Tynwald Hill, run by drum guru <strong>John&nbsp;Bowker. <\/strong>Howard&nbsp;went along to have a bash - quite literally - and also&nbsp;chatted with festival organizer Dave McLean.&nbsp;The second Our Island, Our World festival takes place around Peel on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st September . The ride, in aid of the Isle of Man&rsquo;s Children&rsquo;s Centre, starts in Bordeaux in mid-September and winds its way down to Barcelona&nbsp; via some very hilly Pyrenean mountains.&nbsp; So hilly in fact that it&rsquo;s the&nbsp; equivalent of pedalling up Everest almost TWICE whilst covering the&nbsp;distance from Glasgow down to Brighton!<\/p>\n\n<p>They want to raise as much money as they can and if you would like to support them, their fundraising page is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justgiving.com\/fundraising\/aoniom\">here.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p>The challenge is made even trickier because of Dave&#39;s Type 1 Diabetes.&nbsp; Fortunately Manx cycling star Sam Brand from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamnovonordisk.com\/teammembers\/sam-brand\/\">Team Novo Nordisk<\/a>&nbsp;popped in to offer his expert guidance.<\/p>\n\n<p>We also made sure the boys were well prepared for their nine-day room sharing by testing their knowledge of each other.&nbsp; Think &#39;Mr and Mrs&#39; with a twist...<\/p>\n\n<p>Also on the show today we found out more about the mascot of our <strong>Charity of the Week,&nbsp;<\/strong>The Manx Workshop for the Disabled.&nbsp;
