On Air Manx Radio Breakfast Ben Hartley & Sian Cowper | 7:30am - 9:30am

Late Lunch listen again: live from LaLaa Land, episode 2!

We were live again today from the Laxey and Lonan Allotments with our host Tanya Anderson from Lovely Greens. We talked today about encouraging children into the garden, how to get them planting and growing (and harvesting!) things.

To help with the discussion, we also chatted with Lucy and Natasha from GRIN ("Garden, Recharge, Inspire, Nourish") who have recently celebrated their first birthday as a community allotment project for parents and carers of young children in Arbory Parish.

We also met two new members of the Laxey allotment community, Bob and Sue Moon, who were busy clearing, creating their new beds and planting seeds. If you're interested in taking up one of the remaining plots, contact LALAA by emailing lalaa @manx.net

After the show, we recorded our monthly PotCast - where this time, Tanya had Beth and Christy planting French Runner beans!

Also today - our Soul Starter was Al Green with 'Let's Stay Together' and Marc Tyley's Greatest Hit was a wonderful story about the Pointer Sisters and the legendary 1960's venue in London 'Biba' (check out photos of this extraordinary place here)

If you missed any part of today's programme, you can listen again at this link for the next 7 days, and check out the videos here and "potcast" here.

While you're listening back, check out these lovely photos of the the day taken by our Ben Hartley:
