Late Lunch listen again: Mike Kewley and Donna Whalley

It was time for another spot of MidWeek Mindfulness today with Mike Kewley from My Free Mind. He talked about the practice of being Mindful on the Move, taking notice when you're out and about; he also talked about the positive impact that today's Podcast Practice - "See, Hear, Feel" - has had on his own life. You can find, download and subscribe to the podcast here.

We were also joined by Donna Whalley from Paracise Isle of Man; she shared Paracise favourite 'Lean on Me' by Bill Withers, which is the introduction song used to reduce anxiety when clients arrive, become aware of posture and how they are holding themselves - and remind them to breathe! Donna also taught us the moves... If you'd like to try Paracise yourself, she has a class tomrrow morning at 10.45am at Carrefour Gym and you can just turn up and join in.

John Moss mused about the Moon Landings, with 2019 marking 50 years since Neil Armstrong set first foot on the lunar surface;

We heard some more about Charity of the Week Mannin Cancers, who told us about their super exciting fund raising event happening on Friday when over £10 million worth of supercars will be taking to the Mountain Road

Our Soul Starter was 'Summer Breeze' by the Isley Brothers, and the Jukebox today featured 'Silly Love Songs' by Wings, which started a 5 week run on this day in 1976 in the US charts - this was actually beaten by the Recent track today, which was Blossoms with 'I Can't Stand It'

If you missed any part of today's programme you can listen again at this link for the next 7 days.

Paracise in the Studio!

During “Lean On Me” this afternoon, Donna gave us a little introduction to Paracise #MRLateLunch Paracise with Donna
