ON PRAISE TODAY - 14 APRIL 2019
We celebrate PALM SUNDAY - the start of the week which the Christian Church calls HOLY - with words from actor Russell Boulter, and some truly great hymn singing. There’s news of THREE opportunities to enjoy some really beautiful music around the Island this week, and a question for you …. do YOU remember a ‘young Ulsterman’ who came to Broadway Baptist Church in the 1980’s ? Well, he’s a guest on PRAISE today, too!
Music on PRAISE today is :
Ride on! Ride on! in majesty
I will sing the wond’rous story
All glory, laud and honour, to you, Redeemer king
(The St Michael Singers)
Extracts from
‘Olivet to Calvary’
A sacred cantata by J.H. Maunder
performed by
The Oratory Singers
The Lord bless you and keep you (Rutter)
from the CD ‘Lord of Beauty’
sung by The Choir of St John the Baptist Parish Church, Broughton, Lancs (The Broughton Boys Choir)
