Festival highlights are hard to choose but master of mysteries and Festival Patron, Alan Bradley’s mystery-writing workshop in Castletown Civic Centre, Farrant’s Way at 10 o’clock on Friday morning is one not to miss!  Tickets are £35, email bookings@manxlitfest.com 

The Mr Men Family Day between 1 and 4pm at the Arboretum in St Johns on Saturday is one of the Festival’s free events and so is the Isle of Man Writer’s Novelist’s Hub, in Castletown from 10 ‘til 4pm on Sunday. The Festival finale is an Evening with Alexander McCall Smith, author of the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency which has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide - this takes place at the King’s Court Theatre - find tickets here. Now we take a look back at this year’s Isle of Man Film Festival which celebrated its’ sixth year just a few weeks ago. FilmFest was a roaring success by all accounts and we caught up with filmmakers, festival makers and a certain Patron, film critic, Mr Mark Kermode!

 

 

The Isle of Man Creative Network is already preparing for their next Isle of Man Art Festival next Easter, and they want you to get involved!
