On Conister Rocks today Beth was joined by Howard Caine, Manx Radio newsreader and occasional Women Today presenter.
We heard about his early years growing up in Ballakermeen Avenue with parents Jim and Edna and older siblings Hillary and Chris. He was, as you may have suspected, a giggly school boy who didn't particularly enjoy exams.
He did though enjoy the outdoors and spent several years working as a gardener around the Island, before eventually finding his way to the station here on Douglas Head.
Howard thanks his Dad for his love of music, is a hugely accomplished actor and always looks on the funny side of life, with his musings often providing material for some of Manx Radio's satirical output.
His music choices range from a Beatles classic to take in a synthesizer track and a classical piece as well.
