Women Today: Defying cancer prognosis and celebrating International Men's Day

November is Lung Cancer Awareness month and because there are so many myths about this disease, we spent some time dispelling them in today's programme.

Heather Christian was diagnosed in 2016.  She had never smoked in her life.  Initially her prognosis was nine months - two years she is committed to raising awareness and supporting people going through similar experiences.

Sandy Denning from the Isle of Man Anti Cancer Association was also with us along with Melody Holt from the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation .

We also talked about International Men's Day - celebrating positive male role models with Stacey Astill and found out about the first dedicated event she's organised to mark the day at the Henry Bloom Noble Library tonight from 7pm.
