Women Today listen again: Ann Cottier, Pamela Crowe and Jayne Saywell

Today, we found out about plans to mark the centenary of the Castletown Royal British Legion - established as the Manx Legion even before the Royal British Legion. We were joined by their secretary Ann Cottier who gave us details of Saturday night's concert to celebrate 100 years, at Castle Rushen High School, starting at 7pm

- also today we were joined by two of the authors of ‘Friend or Foe’ the fascinating story of women’s internment during WWII in Port Erin and Port St Mary – Pamela Crowe and Jayne Saywell told us all about the 'camp run by women for women' which is illustrated beautifully in the book by personal stories and wonderful photographs. You can purchase the book at all good local bookshops (such as Lexicon Bookshop in Douglas and Bridge Bookshop in Port Erin)

- and also today, as some students at Cambridge University have rejected remembrance day as ‘imperialist propaganda’, we looked at the whole story (somewhat confused by misleading headlines) and talked about why it is so important to Always Remember.

If you missed any part of today's programme you can listen again at this link for 7 days.
