Women Today listen again: Courtenay Heading, Chris Kissack and Lydia Barbara

On the programme today:

- Courtenay Heading came in to air his concerns about the HPV vaccination and explain why he has organised a public debate. Mr Speaker, Hon Juan Watterson has agreed to Chair a meeting on 14th August; Courtenay is also inviting medical professionals to join the debate and will be inviting all School Heads and Deputies. You can find out more about the Jurby Wellness Centre here, and find more information on what Courtenay was discussing today on his blog here. He is urging people to take part in the debate, whatever their viewpoint may be. (NB: we did invite the Department of Health to take part in today’s programme but they declined the offer saying “we will not be taking part in this interview")

- also today, we were joined by Chris Kissack from Fedelta and Lydia Barbara, Head of Innovation from Microgaming, who have come together to create an ideas platform for reducing the amount of plastic. A Life Less Plastic' launches on Saturday - a competition open to all Manx residents to submit plastic reduction ideas, which can be taken from an idea, to concept, to reality. The launch will also see a special screening of the Blue Planet 2 episode that really brought the issue to light. Free tickets can be reserved here

- and some official research has been done to find out whether we really do put milk in before or after when it comes to our cuppa – so as a bit of fun we asked which do you do?

If you missed any part of today's programme you can listen again at this link for the next 7 days.
