Women Today listen again: Helen Walmsley and Aileen Rampton

Today we found out about a local charity that is helping to build self confidence in children while also giving them techniques to manage anxiety.  Supported by A Little Piece of Hope, there will be 10 weekly sessions starting later this month. To tell us more and to find out how your child can get involved we spoke with Helen Walmsley and Aileen Rampton. There are only a few spaces left on the workshops, which begin on 20th of November; find out more on their facebook page or call or text 202074.

- we heard the first in our series of interviews in recognition of the sacrifice and service of those who fought in the wars; from first hand experiences, to family members relating the often very emotional stories of their loved ones. We started today with the Chairman of the Isle of Man Naval Association, Mr Tom Quirk, who told us about his time in 'The Forgotten War' in Korea in the 1950s. The longer version of the interview, along with all our Remembrance Day interviews, will be available on our Podcast page shortly

- we looked at a new list of everyday products that are harming the planet – things that you might use every day

- and we asked whether the X-Factor had run it's course
