- also today, with the closing date is fast approaching for the domestic abuse legislation consulation, we heard from two women who work hard to provide help – and a home - for those in need on the Island; Paula Gelling from Victim Support and Thelma Lomax from the Women's Refuge who deal closely with Women's Aid. You can find the consultation here, closing date August 20th.

 

- also today, as this weekend brings one of the biggest events in the Island’s rural calendar with the return of the Royal Show, we were joined by Royal Manx President Jim Caley and Vice President Fiona Dale – who, next year, will be the first female President the Society has had since it was constituted in 1858!

 

- and as it's Port St Mary Lifeboat day on Sunday, we spoke to Jenni Kneale - the first female RNLI coxon on the Island - to find out what it takes to be a Lifeboat crew member and how you can get involved
