Women Today listen again: Live from the Manx Aviation and Military Museum

As part of our series of Remembrance Specials, we broadcast live from one of the Island's most fascinating - and surprising - places, from midday through to 5pm.

Across Talking Heads, Women Today and Alex in the Afternoon we heard fascinating stories from Museum Curator Ivor Ramsden, from local resident and former Chief Minister Tony Brown who is organising the Castletown Poppy Appeal Concert, David Dawson who told us about his mission to collect 139 pairs of boots to represent all the souls from King William's College lost in the 1st World War; from Dot Lowey who is the Director of 'The Ackrington Pals' which opens at the Erin Arts Centre tomorrow, to Alison Schreiber who has spent 4 years researching the fallen soldiers from King William's and has created an incredible commemorative tribute in the college Chapel; and to Jean Webb - now in her 90s - who joined the Wrens in WW2 and shared her memories of when she first heard war had been declared.

If you missed any part of the programme, you can listen back online at this link for 7 days , can see a host of photos and can watch a number of videos on our Facebook page.

Tomorrow, we continue our special programmes, broadcasting live from the new Mann At War Gallery in the Manx Museum. Tune in from 2pm.
