Women Today listen again: Mann and the plastic population

On the show today we revisited a subject very close to our hearts - what to do about the problem with plastics - or more specifically single-use plastic and its disposal.

We were joined by Manx Marine Scientist Rowan Henthorn who recently returned from an all female expedition to see what's known as the Pacific Garbage Patch.  She gained a great deal of insight from her trip and is looking for any feedback ahead of the second phase of the government's plastics plan - you can email  here here - plastics@gov.im

We were also joined by Richard MacNee from 3POP who, frustrated by constantly finding plastic rubbish when he was out and about, is encouraging us all to pick up three pieces of plastic.  He's teaming up with Beach Buddies and A life Less Plastic on September 30th for a mammoth beach clean and plastic free picnic.

And we heard about the hugely positive move from IOM Creameries regarding their environmentally sustainable milk cartons.
