Ahead of us joining with Culture Vannin to celebrate and showcase the best in music from our island, you can hear what we have in store on:

Sunday 22nd July - Sunday Soundtrack with Christy DeHaven: 2-5pm

Christy chatted with music label owners and the man behind the Manx Spotify chart Arron Clague along with Chloe Woolley from Culture Vannin. Listen back to the show here

Thursday 26th July - Women Today: 2-3pm

Friday 27th July - Manx Music Day - Laa Kiaull Manninagh:

A host of Manx musicians and performers joining our regular presenters to chat about the thriving Manx music scene and performing live.

The station's music throughout the day will feature some of the best in contemporary Manx music from artists and groups. Here's who's on when:

 

Breakfast Show with Chris Williams from 7am:
To start the day, we'll be joined by Matt Kelly and David Kilgallon who started out together in King Chiaullee but now have successful careers of their own.

Mandate from 7.30am:
We'll hear from Dr. Breesha Maddrell, Director of Culture Vannin and an accomplished musician herself.

Morning Show with Ben Hartley from 9.30am:
Ben will be joined by singer songwriter Jeff Jepson and Mandy Griffin, a Cleveland Medal winner and Guild regular.

Talking Heads with Stu Peters from 12noon:
Stu will talk to Emma Callin, former Arts Development Manager working closely with Arts Council, now Head of Villa Marina, Gaiety Theatre and the Arts.

Conister Rocks Special from 2pm:
Christy will spend an hour in the company of Manx Music Development Officer Chloe Woolley and her husband Malcolm Stitt, an internationally successful musician who has toured with Kate Rusby, Boys of the Lough and more. There'll share memories and some surprising music choices!

Afternoon Show with Alex Brindley from 3pm:
We'll be joined by Ruby Biscoe Taylor, lead singer/writer with Biskee Brisht and also Grainne Joughin, who teaches and leads Manx dancing and is the Tynwald Day ‘Enhancements Co-Ordinator’.

Special MMD2018 Evening Show with Christy Dehaven from 6pm:
Matt Creer will be with Christy from 7pm debuting brand new music; we’ll also get an insight into local studio production with a walk around Ballagroove Records; there’ll be interviews with David McLean about Our Island Our World Festival and Ian Cottier about the brass band scene; a chat with Jenni Smith from Soundcheck; a chance to revisit some of the many sessions we’ve had with local musicians on Sunday Soundtrack over the past three years, and of course plenty of locally produced music from decades past to now. 

Jumpin' In from 9pm with Howard Caine:

Howard finds out about the local jazz scene from musician Jerry Carter, who has recently started up regular Jazz nights at the Queens.
