AT YOUR SERVICE goes out into the glorious Manx countryside his week, as we prepare to celebrate the Feast of St Maughold on 31 July.
We reflect on the life of this great Celtic saint and his place in our Island's Christian heritage, as we spend a little time in the keeills (remains of tiny chapels), in the nearby Cross House, and in Maughold Parish Church itself, in the company of Clare Faulds, Church Warden at Kirk Maughold.
Clare explains why these places are so important to her, and what she is planning for everyone to share in, around the feast day.
Pioneer Minister Rev'd Alex Brown finds inspiration at Maughold Head - he reflect on a verse from Psalm 8 that offers a challenge to us all - and we've even got a reflection and a prayer - from the Falkland Islands! And there's music too - after a great hymn of praise to start us off, there's some more reflective pieces with a Celtic flavour too.
If you'd like to hear your favourite hymn on a future programme, do please email details to : judithley@manxradio.com
