Bob Carswell delivers a weekly programme of great Manx Gaelic broadcasting and entertainment. William Gell's poem, 'Mannin Veg Veen : A Poetical Sketch of the Isle of Man', takes us from St German's Cathedral, on to the Point of Ayre, from where we take a glance across to Scotland, before setting off down the east coast, via Glen Mona and the Dhoon, Laxey, Groudle and Banks' Howe, where we stop to gaze at the crescent of Douglas Bay. Meanwhile, in our story in Manx, an elderly man finds the best solution for himself and his wife, despite the well-intentioned but unwelcome arrangements others wish to make.
