For 12 months, a team of dedicated volunteers have been building something very special in Laxey - a 'Skiff' which will be launched in to Laxey bay this Saturday, December 2nd at 3pm. When Christy's nephews bought her a skateboard for her birthday, she couldn't let them down...so she booked in for a lesson with Galskate at The Shred House and soon found herself rolling around a halfpipe with a big goofy grin on her face! A new obsession is born... She chatted with coach Ali throughout the process, who told her about the many and surprising benefits of skating. Outlier Distilling Company say they are 'looking to do things differently from the mass market' and it seems the passion and determination of the tiny team has served them well in the short time they’ve been operating.
