Last month, Isle of Man Stamps and Coins released a very special new stamp collection – celebrating the late David Bowie's career as an actor. Designed by Grammy winning designer and long time Bowie collaborator Jonathan Barnbrook, the stamps feature images from iconic movie moments like Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence, Labyrinth and the film Bowie shot right here on the Isle of Man, Everybody Loves Sunshine. Stage Ed return to the Island to put on another West End spectacular on Sunday Oct 2nd, with their popular 'Musicals In Concert' night. Wish Upon A Dream have been granting wishes for sick and terminally ill children here on the Island since Lesley Turnbull lost her own daughter to illness more than 20 years ago. Wish Upon A Dream is a charity that grants wishes for sick or terminally ill children living on the Isle of Man. It was started by Lesley Turnbull following the death of her own daughter and, since then, it has granted numerous wishes - everything from holidays to equipment, celebrity contacts to adventurous experiences. Our One2Three charity all this week has been Breast Cancer Now Volunteering in the Isle of Man. One of the biggest fundraisers for the charity is the Bra Dash event, which has races across the Island and for which there is a very special trophy up for grabs... A new musical, on now at the Gaiety, is breaking all kinds of boundaries - they've built a working pub in the theatre for one thing! Cast members have had to learn to play instruments, speak in Czech accents and involve audience members in the show itself. But more than that, this production, which is based on the movie 'Once', is proving to play on ALL the emotions - tugging at the heartstrings and bringing belly laughs too. Jackie Horne can often be seen 'popping up' at various arts, crafts and producer markets around the Island with her home made Chai. When fellow artisans told her they were keen to find a new space to market their diverse and international goods, she came up with a solution - the 'Down North' monthly artisan market, which starts this Sunday outside Ramsey Courthouse.
