Bob Carswell delivers a weekly programme of great Manx Gaelic broadcasting and entertainment. We look into the background of some of the people mentioned in William Gell's 1906 poem, 'Mannin Veg Veen : A Poetical Sketch of the Isle of Man'. We hear of Samuel Harris, Richard Sherwood and Thomas Kneen, before moving on to some of the Lieutenant-Governor's - Hope, Pigott and Loch - whose terms of office showed the change of the seat of power from Castletown to Douglas. Our story in Manx is presented in cinematic terms, with yaks and humans, yurts and nature - and something that shouldn't be there.
