Books I Have Loved - Lisa Creighton

Late Lunch

Thursday, 30 January 2020 - 4 minutes

In the latest episode of our series for bibliophiles, we get another wonderful recommendation, this time from Lisa Creighton. The actor, author and playwright reveals that her favourite book is 'Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day' by Winnifred Watson, a rags to riches story first released in 1938, but one that still resonates today. It later became a film with Frances McDormand in the lead role. If you have a book you'd like to share with us, let us know by emailing latelunch@manxradio.comAuthor, actor and playwright
